When you tap Report Noise, your browser should ask permission to use your location. If you don't see a prompt, or you accidentally blocked it, here's how to enable it:
iPhone — Safari
- Open Settings → Apps → Safari → Location and set to Ask or Allow.
- Also check Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services is ON, and Safari is allowed.
- Reload this page and tap Report Noise again.
iPhone — Chrome
- Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → ON.
- Find Chrome in that list → set to While Using.
- Reload and try again.
Android — Chrome
- Tap the ⋮ menu → Settings → Site settings → Location → ensure it's allowed.
- Or tap the 🔒 / ⓘ icon left of the address bar → Permissions → Location → Allow.
- Make sure phone Settings → Location is ON.
- Reload and try again.
Desktop — Chrome / Edge / Safari
- Click the 🔒 / ⓘ icon to the left of the address bar.
- Find Location and set it to Allow.
- Reload the page and tap Report Noise.
Note: location only works on pages served over https://. Accuracy depends on your device — phones with GPS are far more precise than laptops, which estimate from Wi-Fi/network.
